The Climb

Wrapping up Unintentional Emerald Week here at Nick Olsen Style International I just have to post about this climbing leopard by Diane von Furstenberg (I'll cop to pronouncing it "Dee-ahn" like a pretentious fashion twit) for The Rug Company:

It's a riff on Fornasetti, no? I'd Google but The Real Melting Faces of Beverly Hills is on.

  2. your posts always make me laugh. "unintentional emerald week." i die. even your labels are funny. "the animal in me." Now your just making the rest of us look bad. Are witty blog labels the next frontier?

  3. I'm with Alex up there. You're a master at the blog label, among other things.
Oh, and I totally want that rug.

  4. Funnily enough I have that Fornasetti rug. Got it years ago in Montreal and then found out afterward that it's a Fornasetti.

It's at my parent's country place right now but this is what I think you are referring to:

Mine has a pale green background

  5. Rolf La-WREN bugs me even more than Dee-ahn. Dude's from the Bronx. I know that's not the point of your post, but I wanted to chime in on the pretentious pronunciation issue. xoxo

  6. We move like cagey tigers
We couldn't get closer than this
    The way we walk
    The way we talk
    The way we stalk
    The way we kiss
    We slip through the streets
    While everyone sleeps
    Getting bigger and sleeker
    And wider and brighter
We bite and scratch and scream all night
    Let's go and throw
    All the songs we know...

    Into the sea
    You and me
All these years and no one heard
    I'll show you in spring
    It's a treacherous thing
We missed you hissed the lovecats...
